First International Meeting of the Photographers of the Underworld organized by Philippe Crochet and Annie Guiraud, Marie and Michel Renda, Daniel Chailloux
It ended with great success for the international meeting of photographers in the underworld.
13 nations, for a total of 80 participants, including photographers and assistants.
We thank the French organization for the wonderful reception.
The meeting will be repeated between 2 or 3 years.

Première Rencontre Internationale des Photographes du Monde Souterrain
Du 14 au 20 août 2011, se dérouleà Olargues en France, la Première Rencontre Internationale des Photographes du Monde Souterrain.
Cette manifestation se clôturera par la projection samedi 20 des meilleures photos réaliséedurant la semaine, ainsi que les travaux des différents participants.
Dal 14 al 20 agosto 2011, a Olargues in Francia, si
svolgerà il Primo Incontro Internazionale dei fotografi del mondo sotterraneo.
L'evento si concluderà con la proiezione delle
migliori foto realizzate nella settimana e alcune multivisioni dei partecipanti.
Del 14 al
20 agosto de 2011, Olargues en Francia, se llevará a
cabo el Primer Encuentro Internacional de los fotógrafos del mundo
subterráneo.
El evento concluirá con
la proyección de las mejores fotos tomadas durante la semana

The First International Meeting of the Photographers of the Underworld will be held in Olargues, France, from 14th to 20th August, 2011. The best pictures taken during the week will be shown at the end of the meeting, along with multivision prepared by some of the partecipants

3D photo exhibition - Underground of Enchantment
“Underground of Enchantment” is a 3D photo exhibit featuring the beautiful magic & microbial secrets of one of the most interesting caves in the world - Lechuguilla Cave in southeastern New
Mexico.
Lechuguilla Cave is the deepest limestone cave (486.9m) in the USA & sixth longest cave in the world (128miles/206km). The cave holds a spectacular but fragile ecosystem which was cut off
from the surface until 1986. To protect this system, entry into Lechuguilla is restricted to exploration & science.
The exhibit will feature 3D photography & image presentations by David De Roest, Daniel Chailloux, Michel Renda, Peter & Ann Bosted a remarkable photographers & outstanding cavers
from Belgium, France & the United States.
Gosia Allison-Kosior, originally from Poland but in love with the surface & underground of the Land of Enchantment since 1995, is curating this important look at one of New Mexico’s best kept
secrets.
Their feeling of being privileged & a need to share with others the experience of Lechuguilla Cave’s charm connected David, Ann, Peter, Daniel, Michel & Gosia. This was the moment when a
dream about the exhibit was born!
“Underground of Enchantment” can be viewed from May 7th, 2011 throughout the summer at the Carlsbad Museum & Art Center. After August 2011 “Underground of Enchantment” will travel around New
Mexico, Colorado & West Texas for 10 months. Then Carlsbad Caverns National Park will host it in the summer of 2012 at the Visitor Center.
